As written by husband, Mike Briggs. Patty steadfastly refuses to write a biography. She considers them narcissistic, and besides, she'd rather write something interesting! It looks like I've been drafted to write a biography, despite my lack of eloquence.
Patty writes books. You can find a complete list of titles elsewhere on this site. You probably don't really care where she was born [Butte, MT] or what her favorite animal is [horse]. The list of jobs she's held over the years doesn't tell you as much about Patty as it does about which jobs were available at various times in our past. I could fill pages with various facts and tallies that detail the events of her life. Instead, I'd like to tell you a bit about who she is.
When we attended MileHiCon in Denver, the program chair Rose Beetam asked me to write a biography for the program book. When Patty writes a biography for a program book, she usually gives them a couple of paragraphs that skirt the line between humerous anecdote and bland fact. I wanted to provide something honest and descriptive, without getting bogged down in details like her favorite color [green].
