Miki finally finished her PhD in epidemiology a few years ago, but she's not entirely sure what she's done since then, as the brain fog is just now starting to lift. Her research focuses on child development and mental health, the role that sleep plays in child development and behavior, and the benefits and harms of TV, video games, and computer use for kids. In the past, she's developed medical software and websites, taught every age from preschool through high school, and dropped rabies vaccine biscuits for coyotes and foxes from a plane flying across rural Texas.
