Kay's latest work is an epic sci-fantasy series, The Entire and the Rose, the story of a man’s odyssey in search of his family through a tunnel universe with a river of fire for a sky. The series has twice been shortlisted for the American Library Association Reading List awards. SFSite called the milieu “One of the most imaginative creations in recent science fiction history.” The fourth and final book, Prince of Storms, was released in January. Her shorter work has recently appeared in The Solaris Book of New Science Fiction-2 and Shine, An Anthology of Optimistic Science Fiction.
