"Bruce Taylor is a writer of Magic Realism/Bizarro Fiction/Surrealism. His novella, "l3 Miles to Paradise" is one of four in a collection (Alembical) with with three other writers, Jay Lake, James Van Pelt and Ray Vuckcevich. Alembical received a starred review in Publishers Weekly. His other recent novel, Edward: Dancing On the Edge of Infinity, came out from Red Jack Press in November, 2007 and took eighteen years to get published. Bruce is currently president of the Seattle Free Lances, oldest professional writing group on the west coast (l921), was consultant to a webzine: MARGIN: Exploring Modern Magical Realism, was writer in residence at Shakespeare & Company. His work can also be found in the first (and very fine series) Bizarro Starter Kit (www.Bizarrogenre.org) When not writing, Bruce is either backpacking or being a hypnotherapist, He lives in Seattle with his partner, Roberta Gregory and their common-law surly feline, Purrrrr-zac in a condo with a just a _smashing_ view of Mt. Rainier.
