Student Short Story Contest
Rules:
◊ You must be a student from the Tri-Cities area in grades 9 through 12.
◊ Short stories must be 1000 to 7500 words long
◊ Story themes should keep to the genres of: science fiction, fantasy, cyber punk, urban fantasy, or steam punk, or the RadCon Theme (Witches, Warlocks, and Wizards). Please, no fan fiction!
◊ Story must meet the submission format guidelines below
Guidelines:
◊ Double spaced, 12 point Font (Courier, Ariel, or New Times Roman), 1 inch margins, aligned to left margin
◊ In the upper left corner, type your name, email address and phone number.
◊ In the upper right corner, include the approximate word count of the story
◊ Centered the title two lines down from your contact information
◊ Include your name, centered below the title on a cover page, DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION ON THIS PAGE.
◊ Please indent new paragraphs
◊ Include a footer on all pages with your last name, story title, and page number.
Submission:
Contest Deadline is January 3rd, 2024. Winners will be contacted by the start of RadCon through email or by phone. Announcements will be posted online. Submissions should be made in “word” or “pdf” format to: Student Contest Committee. Please submit a copy of the Student Contest Entry Form with your submission

Prizes will be awarded at the RadCon Opening Ceremonies, at the Pasco Red Lion.
